The new National Museum of the Resistance will seek to raise public awareness on complex issues:

What does resisting mean ?
How does one position himself in the face of oppression?
What forms of action, acts of solidarity and resistance are possible?

Through different perspectives, museography will provide access to the story related to these issues. On the ground floor of the old building will be presented accounts of period witnesses – victims as well as authors. The first floor will be devoted to human rights, as well as a biographical approach. The two floors of the new wing will show the history of Luxembourg during the Second World War, the basement being reserved for temporary exhibitions.
